Miguel Chavez

Miguel Chavez began his career in the pool industry in 2021 as the Spanish Educational Program Manager for Orenda Technologies and now leads the Education and Training Program for HASA and Orenda Technologies. His work centers on making complex topics like water chemistry, disinfection, and best practices more accessible to pool professionals through clear, impactful education. A lifelong swimmer, Miguel spent over 18 years competing, swimming collegiately in the United States and representing Mexico on the international stage. His connection to water began inside the pool long before it became his profession—a passion that ultimately led him to Orenda, where he was hired straight from the pool deck during swim practice. Since then, Miguel has helped translate Orenda’s forward-thinking methodology into meaningful education for Spanish-speaking pool professionals across the U.S. and internationally. Miguel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology and brings over five years of experience in education, Spanish content development, and training leadership. He is driven by a simple belief: better education leads to safe, clean and clear water, stronger professionals, and healthier communities.
